Palm Springs

13 - 17 April 2010
We left the Kamper Klub rally on 13 April and drove just 15 miles to the Indian Wells RV Resort in Indio. This is just 4 miles from the La Quinta Resort and Club Hotel where the Rotary Regional Conference was held. It is a very large and beautiful facility. We paid $28 per night at the RV resort as opposed to almost $200 at the hotel! Our friends Bob and Hedy drove us back and forth in their VW Bug.
Friday night was the hospitality night where many clubs served international foods. There was so much delicious food and drinks it was impossible to try everything. We became fully stuffed. The fellowship was very enjoyable, too. We talked with interesting people and saw old friends.
The Governor's Ball was Saturday night with a delicious fillet mignon and shrimp dinner, presentations, and dancing. The music became too loud! We enjoyed a good brunch on Sunday morning. We heard inspirational presentations and speeches during the three days.
We returned home on Monday well rested and well fed. We went from 97 to 60 degrees! And from clear, blue skies to cloudy skies!

Palm Springs

April 8-13-2010
We left on Saturday, 8 April to attend a Kamper Klub rally in Palm Springs at the Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort. It was very hot the first day, but became beautiful the rest of the time. We enjoyed getting together with old friends since we hadn't attended one of these rallies for awhile. We spent a very relaxing time taking walks, playing shuffle board, and shopping at Walmart and Burlington Coat Factory. We enjoyed afternoon happy hours with White Cows and Margaritas. The pot luck suppers were scrumptious. We had pizza one night and went to Don and Peggy Sue's for dinner Wednesday night. On Thursday Morning we're leaving for the Indian Wells RV Resort in Indio. We'll stay there for the Rotary Regional Conference in Indio. It's less than 4 miles from the La Quinta Resort and Club, the hotel where the conference will be held.
