Tucumcari NM

We found a good Chinese Buffet restaurant in Moriarty, MO on the way to Tucumcari, NM. It was a nice drive, but quite warm. It was 97 degrees with 5% humidity when we arrived. Our air conditioning worked well! We stayed at the Cactus RV Park on Old Route 66. It's a Passport America Park. The campsites are surrounded with the facades of old, weather-beaten Route 66 buildings. There's a restaurant next door. We walked around the neighborhood of old rustic homes.

We spent the night at the Bar S RV Park in Grants, NM. It's a cheap, bare bones park but has full hook ups. Samantha was upset with all the cotton tail bunnies running around! It was a pleasant drive, with beautiful weather.

Flagstaff NM

It was already warm in Needles when we left this morning after taking the dogs for a nice walk. We drove to Kingman, AZ and had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. We drove through pretty, high desert country to Flagstaff, NM, 7000 feet altitude. It was sunny, slightly breezy and perfect! We stayed at Black Barts RV Park, Steak House, and Musical Revue. After eating and drinking too much, and enjoying the show we were ready for bed!

We left home this morning heading for lunch at Peggy Sue's Diner in Barstow. We spent the night at the Elk's Lodge in Needles, CA with full RV hookups. It was hot but not as bad as we expected. We enjoyed drinks in the lodge bar.
