Herb served his chicken-fried steak breakfast yesterday morning. Delicious! After breakfast Herb took us on a little walking tour of Gold Point and showed us how he's been restoring the old miner's cabins. Because we had so much to clean and put away we chose not to go on the run. The dogs and the RV are covered with desert sand. Joe felt sick all day. In the evening with Happy Hour and a big pot-luck dinner we all stuffed ourselves. The weather was beautiful, in the 70's. We forgot the sky was so blue! Even though we had been here before we learned a lot more of the history of this area. With Joe's breathing problems and his difficulty with the altitude we may not be able to come here again, but we have good memories.
