After a breakfast of oatmeal and fruit at the UNO Alumni Center we got on the bus for the French Quarter Tour. Not much has changed since our visit here in February, 2010, but the tour included other points of interest. A highlight for me was a tour of the home of the author Frances Keyes. Her books are out of print but they sold old paperback copies and used hard copies. I bought one paperback and wished I had more time to browse through more. The tour was moving on. We had a muffaletta for lunch. Then we went to the Cafe du Monde for a beignet for desert, then bought some Coffee with chicory and some pralines to take home for ourselves and for gifts. In the evening we had a catered dinner at the Alumni Center consisting of crab bisque, lemon chicken, and bread pudding. I won't get on a scale for months after this trip!
