1 May 2011
We left home on Sunday, May 1 to meet the Rotary RV Fellowship at Diamond Crater State Park in Arkansas. We started out caravanning with Bob and Hedy, stopping for lunch at Peggy Sue's near Barstow. We stayed at the Elk's Lodge in Needles. They have nice RV sites with full hookups and a nice bar where Leah could celebrate her birthday! The weather was warm and windy.

Hedy was having stomach pain, so they decided it was best for them to go back home on Monday. That was a real bummer! We continued on our own to Flagstaff and stayed at Black Barts. Joe came down with a bad cold so we didn't go to their dinner show. It was sunny and breezy when we arrived in Flagstaff, but it got down to 19 degrees on Tuesday morning. We had put some water into the fresh water tank and did not connect the hose for fear of freezing.
We plan to head for Grants, NM today.
